Bollards for housing associations and residential estates
Controlling parking, protecting greens and footpaths, and replacing damaged posts across managed estates.
Computer-generated imageWhat housing associations and estates need from bollards
Housing associations, councils and managing agents use bollards to stop parking on greens and footpaths, reserve bays for residents and blue-badge holders, protect bin stores and entrances, and keep emergency routes clear. Much of the work is repair and replacement across many small sites rather than one big installation.
We price estates work in batches, work from a schedule of addresses, photograph every post before and after, and keep consistent post types and keys across a portfolio so residents and maintenance teams are not juggling different systems.
Typical requirements
- Stopping verge and footpath parking
- Fold-down posts for allocated and disabled bays
- Removable posts on emergency routes
- Batch replacement and repair schedules
- Consistent keys across estates
- Before-and-after photo records
Things to check
- Check whether paths and verges are adopted highway before installing — many estate roads are adopted.
- Emergency access for fire appliances must be maintained; agree key arrangements with the fire service where routes are blocked.
- Residents need notice of works and parking restrictions during installation.
- Choose post types that can be repaired cheaply; vandalism and impacts are common.
Housing associations and estates: questions
Can you work through a list of sites?
Yes. Send a schedule of addresses and post counts; we survey, price per site, and report back with photographs once each one is done.
Can residents have their own key?
For fold-down and removable posts in allocated bays, yes. We can supply posts keyed alike for a whole estate or keyed differently per bay.
Do you remove old posts and make good?
Yes. Old posts and footings are taken out and the surface reinstated to match — tarmac, block paving or grass.
