Terms
Terms
How quoting, consents, payment and cancellations work.
Who you contract with
Quotes and work are provided by S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd (company number 16932889, registered office 65 Hembs Crescent, Birmingham B43 5DG), trading as Bollard Installers. Installation is carried out by crews working under our management; we remain responsible for the work.
Website prices
Prices on this website and in the price calculator are guide prices only and are not offers. Your price is the one in our written quote.
Quotes
Written quotes are valid for 30 days and describe the work, products, groundwork and reinstatement included. If we find something on site that could not reasonably be seen at survey — such as an unrecorded buried service, a void or contaminated ground — we stop, explain and agree any change in writing before continuing.
Payment
Payment terms are set out in the quote. For made-to-order products such as automatic or crash-rated systems we may ask for a deposit, stated in the quote before you accept.
Consents
Where posts are on public highway or need planning advice, the quote says who will apply for consent. Work on public land does not start until consent is in place.
Your right to cancel (consumers)
If you are a consumer and the contract is made away from our premises (for example at your home) or at a distance, you normally have 14 days to cancel. If you ask us in writing to start within that period and then cancel, you pay for the work done up to that point. Goods made or personalised to your specification may not be returnable once ordered; the quote will say if this applies.
Workmanship and products
We put right defects in our workmanship that you tell us about. Products carry their manufacturers' warranties, which we pass on to you; automatic systems usually need regular servicing to keep their warranty. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Liability
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of contract or our negligence. We do not exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so. Crash-rated products perform as tested only when installed and maintained to the manufacturer's specification and used within their rating.
How to cancel
To cancel within the cancellation period, tell us clearly — email sales@bollard-installers.uk or write to Units 1–4 Hembs Crescent, Great Barr, Birmingham B43 5DG. You can use this wording: "I hereby give notice that I cancel my contract for the following work: [describe], quoted on [date]. Name, address, signature (if on paper), date." We refund any payment due within 14 days of hearing from you.
Business customers
If you buy as a business, our total liability for any claim arising from a contract is limited to the contract price, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or loss of profit. Nothing limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Complaints
If something isn't right, tell us first — email sales@bollard-installers.uk or call 0800 088 6248 — and we'll acknowledge your complaint and aim to resolve it promptly. If we can't agree, consumers can use the courts or an alternative dispute resolution provider; we'll tell you which, if any, applies to your job.

Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
